Rather romantically Ophelia weddings was created due to the owner Charlie's need to plan her own wedding...

'I wanted a relaxed, fun and vintage themed wedding-that involved

all my guests. But everything I found was too 'one-size fits all.' I wanted my wedding to look amazing, but not cost the earth. I was also keen to make my guests feel at home- I didn't want a stuffy day where we couldnt enjoy our friends and family.

I just thought if I wanted this, then maybe other brides would too so Ophelia Weddings and Events started from there really.

I'd started Biddy's 4 yearsyears prior and made the cakes for a friend's

wedding. After that customers started asking for bespoke cakes

for their special day so I decided to teach myself. I work with my bakers at Biddy's. Typically the Biddy's bakers make the cake and I decorate them.

Because I knew I wanted a personal day that meant a lot to myself and my fiance thats what we give our customers. Every one is individual with their own ideas and we do our best to make them come true.'

We specialise in creating vintage inspired weddings. From bohemian and rustic, to whilmisical and romantic, or even cute and kitsch. The only thing we insist on is that you are a little unique!

We thrive of originality and love couples that are often described as 'a little bit quirky'

We put a lot of thought into our cakes, as bakers our priority is the taste.  So we like to create unusual sponge combinations to suprise your guests. In fact, we'd like to think our cakes look as good inside as they do on the outside.

As well as our occasion and wedding cakes we love dressing events. that could be table settings (we can even provide all of the china) to creating 'stations' of interest for your big day.  We have a great in house creative team that can help style your wedding and even design and print your wedding stationary

Finally, we love to collect cool things, if you'd like to borrow anything from our collection we will gladly hire it out....
